What This Means
Orange County’s market in September 2026 was steady and balanced. Prices inched higher, homes sold at about the same pace as last year, and sellers got slightly closer to their asking price. But the rise in expired listings tells an important story: buyers are paying for homes that are priced right and passing on the ones that aren’t. For buyers, there are solid options across price ranges, especially in condos, which are taking the longest to sell. For sellers, accurate pricing from day one remains the key to a successful sale.
